Recently, Malaysia’s Foreign Minister Saifuddin led a delegation to visit China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park to learn about the development and construction of the park and the international capacity cooperation. The two sides held an exchange meeting on the construction of "Two Countries, Twin Parks" to discuss how to further promote the cooperation on the "Two Countries, Twin Parks”.
During the visit, the rapid development of the park has left a deep impression on Saifuddin. He said that China attached great importance to the capacity cooperation of the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" and fully promoted the construction of China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park. After returning to Malaysia, he would submit proposals concerning the building of sister cities between Qinzhou in China and Kuantan in Malaysia, and the settlement of traditional advantageous industries of Malaysia in the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park to relevant departments, so as to promote the interactive development of Qinzhou and Kuantan as well as the development and construction of the “Two Countries, Twin Parks”. The two sides, especially the "Two Cities" and "Twin Parks", are highly complementary in the fields of science & technology, education, culture, etc., so they can jointly explore opportunities for cooperation and promote the achievement of more cooperation results. He hoped that both sides would continue to improve the cooperation framework of "Two Countries, Twin Parks", give full play to the role of the Joint Cooperation Council (JCC) Meeting on Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park and China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, and explore the establishment of a normalized communication mechanism, so as to carry out more frequent daily exchanges between the two sides and achieve win-win development.
