Rapid development of China-Malaysia "Two Countries, Twin Parks" enters Phase 2.0

It was recently learned from the International Production Capacity Cooperation Forum of China-Malaysia “Two Countries, Twin Parks” that after six or seven years of development, the project of “Two Countries, Twin Parks” has entered a new stage of rapid development and become an important carrier for China, Malaysia and other ASEAN countries to carry out international production capacity cooperation.

At present, the total investment of China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park is over 14 billion yuan, with a development scope of more than 22 square kilometers and more than 380 registered enterprises. At the same time, more and more projects have been settled in Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park. The basic infrastructure of 6 square kilometers is almost done for the first phase of the park, and successively 13 major projects are signed to be built in the park, with a total investment of about 42 billion yuan. The first deepwater berth of 150 thousand tons in the new Kuantan deepwater port area with partial investment from Chinese party was put into operation in 2018, and the linkage development mode of "Port-Production-Park" achieved initial results. Tan Xiuhong, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said that in the next stage of promoting the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" Phase 2.0, the two parks will strengthen infrastructure construction, and upgrade financial and education services as well as the "Government-Enterprise" cooperation mechanism to provide better policies.
